Apple has officially announced the iPhone X at an event held in Cupertino, California.
The company has totally redesigned the latest special edition of iPhone with a tonne of interesting features.
This is the first time that Apple is selling so many iPhones at once: iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X. Continuing with the 4.7inch display on the iPhone 8 and 5.5inch display on the iPhone 8 Plus, both the smartphones feature Retina HD display with True Tone to adjust the white balance of the display to match the surrounding light. The iPhone X will be available in November for $999.
To accomplish this, Apple is using a new camera system that relies on infrared, a dot projector and neural networks to create a mathematical model of faces. But let's be honest, the ability to make a poop emoji talk is the real game-changer here.
Battery life is improved to 2 more hours than the iPhone 7 with Qi-certified wireless charging. Other functions are also swipe-enabled. The iPhone X has almost no bezel around the screen, similar to the design of Samsung's recent Galaxy and Note phones.
IPhone X gets Face ID for Apple Pay
Apple said it also comes with a Super Retina display - the highest pixel density (458ppi) display ever in an iPhone.
The iPhone 8 starts at $699 and the Plus is $100 more.
The rear cameras on both devices remain the same as on the iPhone 7 and 7 plus, with the iPhone 8 Plus still the dual rear camera option.
The phones also come with the A11 Bionic chip, support wireless charging, and also have an IP67 water and dustproof rating.
While the interior of the theater itself is not strikingly innovative from a design, architectural, or functional standpoint, the waiting area above it is a unique space.
Any apps that currently work with Touch ID will work with Face ID, including Apple Pay and third-party software. The GPU is 30 percent faster. The portrait lighting features on the 8 Plus, in particular, were impressive. The GPS + cellular Apple Watch Series 3 will be $559 and $599 for 38mm and 42mm respectively. This is unprecedented for Apple, which hasn't ever launched an iPhone so late in the year, and so close to the important holiday shopping season. It can capture in ultra-high-resolution 4K but at a faster frame rate.
